Just for Fun
July 7, 2009I know this is a far cry from wedding photography, but sometime you just have to stop and notice the details of life. I grabbed a few shots while working out in Temecula.

Just called someone on the phone and got a busy signal. Can't remember the last time that happened. 5 days ago

I know this isn’t really wedding related, but I figured what the heck, why not post ‘em? This is the Potato Psyllid, a new emerging pest for California. I shot these for my other job (UCR Department of Entomology.) It’s always fun shooting something this small, as they are about the size a common gnat. It’s fun to play around with the Canon MP-E macro lens too, even though it’s a complete bitch to use being all manual focus.
You can read more about the Potato Psyllid at the Center for Invasive Species Research website which I also manage.

Monique: These pics are still cool even though they are not wedding related, it still shows your talent behind the lens!
Just a few photos of the Eucalyptus Beetle I shot for the Center for Invasive Species Research
