Some of you may remember Alex from your wedding. He’s been helping me out for the past year or so. One of the best things about Alex is his ability to think differently. That’s probably why he’s such a good second shooter! Instead of going with a traditional engagement session, they decided to have a date night. It was a great expirence as thier photograher to just sit and watch and capture more candid moments from the evening as they interacted with each other. Don’t worry, I gave Sean and Heather lots of color images! Just trying something different with the black and white. I’ve heard of some photographers shooting entire weddings in black and white, but I’m too chicken to shoot black and white straight from the camera. I do enjoy black and white images as they have some great strenghts. It can strip away color and distracting  things that would normally catch your eye. Hopefully these will help you focus on the things that are important – rather the two people that are important ;)
