I love small weddings. Not only is it easier to photograph, but there is something really personal and intimate about smaller weddings. You don’t have the normal two groups of his friends or her friends, but one group that gets to know each other. By the end of the wedding and usually with a little bit of alcohol, everyone is best friends.  Steven and Kristi had just such a wedding. Just a few good friends for some special moments. Big oak trees, and lots of shade, and even some parasols for the few spots of sun peeking through the trees gave them a perfect backdrop at Kindred. Thanks guys for the great time!

So I helped out my little sister with her first wedding the other day, and I have to say, I was really impressed on how well she did. She obviously has much talent in photographing people. Not only that, but awesome to see how much we think alike when shooting. I see her wheels turning and know what she’s thinking – kinda cool. Anyways, here’s just one example I shot of how she is able to get her subjects to open up just enjoy it!
