Ray Bradbury

May 25, 2008

One of my favorite authors growing up (and still today) is the great science fiction writer, Ray Bradbury. I simply loved all of the stories and characters he created in his many books on mars, martians and space exploration. I loved how he put his focus on the characters and sories, and not on the technology or the journy to and from. So it was with great pleasure that I was able to attend one of his lectures on the red planet here at UCR. I wish I could say I got my book signed, but he only signed a few and then became tired. The poor guy. He looks pretty old in the picture, but looks even older in person. I think I may have to go and re-read “The Illustrated Man.”

Steven & Kristi

May 24, 2008

It’s really awesome as a photographer to have two people who are willing to try anything to get some good pictures. Steven and Kristi were just that: up for anything. I think we got some cool shots to show for it too.  Besides, Laguna Beach is always beautiful on the sand or with all the super cool shops downtown. Thanks guys!

Beach Trip

May 16, 2008

Saturday we were able to get away to the beach with some friends. It was really cool to finally get away and just enjoy the sun and the sand. We even tried to do a little bit of snorkeling while we were there but the visibility was about 8 feet. Its not much fun when you can’t see anything. I guess I have to hold off for a few weeks. Zac, on the other hand, loved the sand and the water despite its clarity. He did this funny little dance across the sand, trying his best to run on top of the sand. We gave him a beach bucket and a toy shovel which kept him busy for hours. Despite all his adventures he did do a few wipe outs, hence the picture.
